into the past

The beginning of my father-in-law’s journey back home started appropriately through a dense fog. Our first site to see was the Big Buddha/Tian Tan Buddha via the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. (If you have time and are stuck at the Hong Kong International Airport this is a good quick side trip, it is quite close.) We had some people in our group who were afraid of heights so we didn’t get the use of the glass bottom cars, which is also an extra charge. When you get to the top you will be met by another journey up many steps to see the bronze Buddha, or you can just stop at Starbucks, yes they’re up there too! Which religious experience one chooses is their own.
