Of course one can eat at stalls and in alley ways in many places throughout Asia, as well as, fast food chains. I’ve seen McDonald’s quite crowded in Thailand while you could eat very cheaply on the street. In Hong Kong or Japan you can go either way. In China the American chains were rather empty, these are places that are much more of a hit on the wallet for the average person. It was good to see and eat at local stalls, always seems to be a better way to go, though these stalls would never be allowed in America. My faith in these street-side eateries has yet to be disappointed.
