When Life Collides

the impact of speed

By the time I got to this dragonfly it had only a few seconds of life left in it. I was about to flip it over but I guess the impact of a bike was enough to take it down and kill it. I thought it was just me that had to worry about the speeding bikes on this trail! The dragonfly was minding its own business but that didn’t matter, so much for life. I like dragonflies, always thought they were an interesting insect. Funny, why is it that there are insects we are so afraid of, no matter their size, while others capture our interest?
