Not exactly sure what kind of thistle this is. I do know the thistle is in the daisy family, right along with sunflowers. In the area where this photograph was taken there are a number of different types of thistles as well as sunflowers – a field of family. I’ve learned over the years to be careful when touching them, they have all sorts of small prickly bits. Some you will have a hard time seeing and the littlest being some of the most painful!
