Architectural Reflections

Cloud Gate, the Bean

Cloud Gate is little more than a funhouse mirror on a grand scale. That said, it does reflect one of the most wonderful skylines. Cloud Gate avails a rather interesting view of Chicago’s beautiful architecture along Michigan Avenue. The Bean is, at my guess, the most photographed piece of public art in Chicago. It has become an icon unto itself. I can bet that more people are aware of the Bean as opposed to the Picasso. People are drawn to it like the mirrors they peer into everyday. I wonder how many people are looking at the reflections of Chicago versus the reflections of themselves.
