barking earth tones

Not an artist’s palette but ever-changing life. This is the bark of a tree, not paint. Not sure what kind of tree this was but I’ve seen ones like it all around Oahu. They are constantly peeling and exposing a variety of colors. I have always thought of them as paintings with the broad stroke of the palette knife. More found art. This time au natural!
