The skin and bones of modernism.

Mies van der Rohe designed buildings, 860-880 Lake Shore Drive. Construction began in 1949 and the project was completed in 1951. In 1996 they became the first buildings designed by Mies van der Rohe to receive Chicago Landmark Status.
